Mobile Marketing for Healthcare Providers is Driven By Patient Applications

January 28, 2013

Mobile Marketing Applications and Patient Integration Into Healthcare Delivery.

Due to the fact that consumers are beamed up on mobile devices and are already interfacing with their banks, hairdressers, tennis partners and families via their smart phones and Ipads, it was no surprise to see all the consumer health applications featured at Health 2.0 last autumn.

Regretfully, healthcare providers are not in the driver’s seat with the new apps but patients will be highly participating in their healthcare delivery on a go forward basis. Therefore, if your facility is not taking a strong look at Ipad applications that integrate the patient, you are going to be missing the boat. Minimally, someone in your facility should be tracking the Hippa compliant tools that are making the technology scene in order to access them in the future.

You need not worry about being an “early adopter” of mobile solutions as the mobile cat is already out of the  technology bag. Your Marketing and IT personnel should run not walk to the next Health 2.0 Summit  in order to get the compelling big picture and meet entrepreneurs who can hlep you with your patient apps and security.

Check out and see when and where the next summit is taking place.  One suggestion is to attend the Mountain View, CA conference coming up shortly. The following link may be helpful for your consideration.
